Summary: Fort Valley State University's Military Science Department will host a Contracting Ceremony for all eligible cadets at 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28 in the C. W. Pettigrew Center.
During the event, the cadets will sign their contracts which is a requirement before they are commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army, and provided they continue to meet all university graduation requirements.
During the ceremony, the cadets will take an oath swearing to support and defend the U. S. constitution against all foreign and domestic enemies. The event is open to the public. For more information, contact Gina Connors at (478) 826-6341.
