Staff and Wire Report

The annual Fort Valley State University Commencement Ceremony is held at the end of the fall and spring semesters. The Commencement Ceremony for the fall will be held on Dec. 12th 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at the Health and Physical Education Complex and the spring Commencement  Ceremony will be held on May 2, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at the Health and Physical Education Complex. The Commencement Ceremony is a time of celebration for all the hard work and dedication the students and the faculty and staff have shown over the years.

It's the day after graduation and the dust has finally settled and now you're thinking to yourself what now? Do I want to go back to school? Should I try to get a job within my career? If this is you here are a few steps to help with the stress courtesy of psychologytoday.com

Step 1: Make a Plan
Having a plan of action can help to organize your thoughts and help reduce the stress

Step 2:  Keep priorities in perspective
Create a budget that you can follow, so that it can help to lessen the stress of not earning what you anticipated and will give you another goal to target.

Step 3: Confront the future
You may or may not know what exactly you want to do in your career but you should still make a plan and take action. Taking action by focusing on a job related to your field of study is much better than no action at all.

Also know that you are not the only person feeling like this think positively and believe in yourself and your dreams. Remember your mind is a powerful thing, when you fill it with positive thoughts, your life will start to change.
