On Monday June 8, many Queen Bey fans woke up bright and early to watch Good Moring America to see this “Big announcement” that Mrs. Queen Bey has been teasing her fans with for a couple of days.
Not only was this announcement not about a new album or tour dates but rather about something that many Queen Bey fans already knew. Are you ready for the announcement?
No really are you ready? (dramatic pause) Mrs. Beyonce Knowles Carter herself is in fact a……..VEGAN.
Yes people you read that right this huge announcement that Good Morning America and Beyonce have been teasing fans with was about none other than the fact that Beyonce is a vegan.
Many of Beyonce fans got onto Twitter and expressed how they felt about the “announcement”…..
One fan @sleeplesssinFL wrote “Vegan? VEGAN? I called out sick for you to announce you don’t like bacons no more?! @beyonce”
another fan @The_prototype said “Beyonce’ dropped a whole album and collection of videos like a thief in the night but wants to make announcement about her diet?”
I personally feel as though GMA and Beyonce went totally right with marketing.
Suppose GMA actually promoted Beyonce coming to the show to only talk about becoming a vegan. I can image that not too many people would have tuned in.
But by using the marketing that they did it made Beyonce fans excited to see what she was going to announce. Could it be a new album? Or a new tour? Or maybe she’s pregnant again?
So the marketing of this segment was very clever but very disappointing to many.
