(Fort Valley,GA) - On June 5, 2015 in McKinney, Texas, the McKinney Police were called for a disturbance at a neighborhood pool. The situation started when several teenagers arrived for a graduation party for someone who lived in the neighborhood.
Fellow neighbors from the neighborhoods that were also at the pool began saying obscenities to the children such as “go back to your section 8 homes.” This lead to a psychical altercation between one of the adults and one of the teenagers at the pool. This resulted in the police being called.
The situation quickly escalated once the policed arrived and seem to only target the African-American and Mexican teenagers. In a video that was recorded showing the incident showed the police officer going around yelling and cursing at the teenagers. The young teenage girl that is seen in the photo was told to walk away and as she began to walk away the police officer chased after her and began to force her to the ground by grabbing her by the back of her neck and pushing her face into the ground.
He then continued to put both of his knees into this young girl’s back and sit on her while still yelling at the other teenagers that were there.

The girl who had thrown the party was 20-year-old Tatyana Rhodes and her mother LaShana Burks. Tatyana had been promoting a party via twitter under the hashtag name “Dime Piece Cookout.” She planned the party at the neighborhood of “Craig Ranch” where she and her mother both live.
The subdivision has very strict rules when it comes to using the swimming pool and the clubhouse. According to theconservativetreehouse.com , Tatyana and her mother are now facing civil lawsuits by the Home Owner Association from their subdivision. Tatyana now has an attorney, Emmanuel Obi, and are making appearances on news networks trying to what happened at the party.
On a CNN interview you can see Tatyana and Jahda Bakari ( attended pool party) with Tatyana's attorney. When asked with how she felt about everything that happened Bakari replied ".....this has got really great attention for how things have happened and it keeps showing that you should look out and that things could really happen."
